Course Review: Polecreek is an incredible golf course with views that are truly unbelieveable. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape for early in the season and the new clubhouse was beautiful. We will certainly play this course again if we vacation in Colorado.
Pro Shop Review: Service in the clubhouse was excellent.

Course Review: pace of play--we felt like we were on a private course and played in under 4 hours. Conditions were great and the marshall actually gave us very helpful distances on diffult shots. The best mountain course we've played and we've played a lot. Tom

Course Review: The course was spectacular. The views couldn't be beat. We were held up a little by an afternoon shower but found shelter on the course. The best part of the round was on the approach to the 15th green. My brother stuck a shot 10 feet from the pin and out of nowhere a fox ran from the woods and stole his ball. Not sure what the ruling is on that but it made for a great story.

Course Review: Pole Creek Golf Club is a Colorado Grand County 27 hole beauty. Our group was fortunate enough to play the Meadows 9 then the Ridge 9 and then enjoy a great lunch at the Bistro 28 bar/restaurant with the sunny deck. Then we teed up and played the Ranch 9 to finish a wonderful day just before a big July afternoon rainstorm. My stats are based on the Meadow-Ridge combo for 18 holes. I felt the White tees were enough for our group at 6,567 yds. The key to the Meadow 9 is to stay out of the thick, wet and sticky grass just off the fairways. The most unique hole on this nine is the par 5 7th hole ... a blind, dogleg left with target golf through a marshland valley. A long draw over the left corner sandtrap would be ideal on this hole. The Ridge 9 is the toughest of the three nines and features some nice elevation changes. The par five 9th is a nice downhill 532 yd shot from the white tees. It's reachable with 2 good shots but the front of the green is well protected by a large sandtrap. The Ranch 9 seemed to be the easiest but the par 3 7th is a real challenge at 151 yds from the white tees or 212 yds from the blues to a green surrounded by marshland. The Pine Beetle has hit Grand County as hard as any part of Colorado so the pine corridor feel is not as tight as it was when Pole Creek opened back in the mid-1980's. Our group from TX and IL was impressed with the condition of the greens and fairways. We had a 27 hole day to remember.
Pro Shop Review: We were impressed with the Bistro 28 bar/restaurant, the pro shop and especially the friendliness of all the Pole Creek staff. We'll be back.
